"This break occurred after the hydrant flushing of May 11, 2011." So Norm, got any idea how many water breaks we have had after hydrant flushing. Should it be something to worry about.

ReplyDeleteYes, there is a cause and effect relationship. Not 1:1 which means I can't say that a line break occurs every time hydrants are flushed. But it seems that a break is a predictable event.
I'm interested in determining if some of these breaks are preventable. To do so would require more information e.g., what procedures are followed for flushing, etc.
